EPISODE #123-- We made it! The long national nightmare that is AniMAY is over! Cruz and James conclude this horrifying (yet edifying) month with the classic film Ghost in the Shell, directed by Mamoru Oshii. It's a humdinger of an episode! We also talk about The Matix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and From Here to Eternity, which Cruz is completely off base about. So off base that he would get shot trying to return to base if he ever found it in himself to to. Only time will tell. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. EPISODE #122-- AniMay charges forward! It heeds not your provincial morality and so-called "rules of common decency." AniMAY has no mercy. No qualms. It is only pure kawaii. . . Anyways, today we are met by the wonderful Hope Jaymes of Uncool: The Series. We tackle the early Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind." We also get into it about Alien: Covenant, The Beguiled, and The Matrix. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow Hope Jaymes on Instagram. EPISODE #121-- Now that we are in the thrall of AniMAY (the official month of Japanese animation), it becomes clear that not everyone can hack it. Cruz is out Alex Switsky is in. We rap about the classic Katsuhiro Otomo picture Akira. You like bikes? You Tokyo Drifting? You like everything? It all comes from Akira. Then we talk about Riverdale. A lot. A lot a lot. Spoilers. We also talk about Blade Runner and Wild Things. Dang, Wild Things is so good, yo. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. EPISODE #120-- It's AniMAY, everybody! Where in it is May and we talk about Japanese anime! It wouldn't be A Quality Interruption if it wasn't sabatoged from the outset! Today Cruz and James are met by the very lovely and very pregnant Alexis Simpson, who reminds us what talented people sound like. Then we talk about this garbage movie. It's AniMAY. Get on board or get busy dying. We also talk about The People Versus OJ Simpson, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Alien, American Experience: Ruby Ridge, and other things. The lesson here is don't be a white seperatist and also don't be such a screw up that you make the white seperatists not look like the dirtbags that they are. Get it together, everybody. Agreed? Agreed. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. EPISODE #119-- Cruz and James dive back into the majestic garbage pile that is the Jason franchise with Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. It's a title that might just be longer than the film itself. If you like schlock and you hate teens, then this is the movie for you. Cruz and James also rap about The Sand Pebbles (and how it's depressingly more racist than James remembered it being), Before Sunrise, and The Birth of a Nation (the less controversial one). There in both James and Cruz fail to account for the horrors of racism, because, it's really hard work and there aren't a lot of goofs to be had around that particular subject. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander.
