EPISODE #124-- Why really screwed up not doing this movie last week, didn't we? Man. . . Anyways, let's not worry about that. Let's worry about Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw playing a game of cat and slightly more tired cat. We also rap about Fences, The Odd Couple, and Inherent Vice. It's one heck of an episode. Get it while it's hot. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can watch Cruz and show favorite Alexis Simpson on You Tube in "They Live Together." EPISODE #123-- We made it! The long national nightmare that is AniMAY is over! Cruz and James conclude this horrifying (yet edifying) month with the classic film Ghost in the Shell, directed by Mamoru Oshii. It's a humdinger of an episode! We also talk about The Matix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and From Here to Eternity, which Cruz is completely off base about. So off base that he would get shot trying to return to base if he ever found it in himself to to. Only time will tell. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. EPISODE #122-- AniMay charges forward! It heeds not your provincial morality and so-called "rules of common decency." AniMAY has no mercy. No qualms. It is only pure kawaii. . . Anyways, today we are met by the wonderful Hope Jaymes of Uncool: The Series. We tackle the early Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind." We also get into it about Alien: Covenant, The Beguiled, and The Matrix. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow Hope Jaymes on Instagram. EPISODE #121-- Now that we are in the thrall of AniMAY (the official month of Japanese animation), it becomes clear that not everyone can hack it. Cruz is out Alex Switsky is in. We rap about the classic Katsuhiro Otomo picture Akira. You like bikes? You Tokyo Drifting? You like everything? It all comes from Akira. Then we talk about Riverdale. A lot. A lot a lot. Spoilers. We also talk about Blade Runner and Wild Things. Dang, Wild Things is so good, yo. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. EPISODE #120-- It's AniMAY, everybody! Where in it is May and we talk about Japanese anime! It wouldn't be A Quality Interruption if it wasn't sabatoged from the outset! Today Cruz and James are met by the very lovely and very pregnant Alexis Simpson, who reminds us what talented people sound like. Then we talk about this garbage movie. It's AniMAY. Get on board or get busy dying. We also talk about The People Versus OJ Simpson, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Alien, American Experience: Ruby Ridge, and other things. The lesson here is don't be a white seperatist and also don't be such a screw up that you make the white seperatists not look like the dirtbags that they are. Get it together, everybody. Agreed? Agreed. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. EPISODE #119-- Cruz and James dive back into the majestic garbage pile that is the Jason franchise with Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. It's a title that might just be longer than the film itself. If you like schlock and you hate teens, then this is the movie for you. Cruz and James also rap about The Sand Pebbles (and how it's depressingly more racist than James remembered it being), Before Sunrise, and The Birth of a Nation (the less controversial one). There in both James and Cruz fail to account for the horrors of racism, because, it's really hard work and there aren't a lot of goofs to be had around that particular subject. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. You can read James' ramblings at Gildedterror.blogspot.com. EPISODE #118-- Back up the garbage truck, because we got another Hellraiser in town. And this one. . . Hoo boy. It's not a good one. We also got Alex Smith on this episode. Besides how very doubleplus ungood Clive Barker's properties are, we also talk about the Friday the 13th Expanded Universe and our own cinematic universe: Hell House. Beyond that, we rap about Your Name, Return of the Caped Crusaders, MST3K, Fargo, and some more Fast and Furious chat. Lots going on in this episode. Download it, ya turkey! Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. EPISODE #117-- On tonight's episode Cruz and James brave their own death throes to talk about Guy Ritchie's first film: The geezery caper "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels." Because we had to celebrate a new Fast and the Furious movie with a Jason Statham movie somehow. Anyways, we cover a lot of ground. We talk about Mrs. Miniver, GLOW, Rogue One (again), The Fate of the Furious (again), and Jason Bourne (not again, it just feels like it). EPISODE #116-- Oh boy, get your girdles girded, because it's a SOLO EPISODE BABY! AND NOBODY CAN STOP ME. In this episode James waxes poetic about what it means to be family, fast, and/or furious and also maybe to get into a fight with a stranger while hopped up on homemade bean liquor and if you don't like it GO FLY A KITE!

Apr 10, 2017

EPISODE #115-- Today Cruz and James are joined by Laura Hartley and Jamie Janek from GinBlo Productions! We rap about John Patrick Shanley's romantic comedy Joe Versus The Volcano! We also talk about our favorite Tom Hanks (or "T. Hank") role, as well as how to get Daniel Day Lewis to do his job. After that we rap about Inside Out and a whole bunch of other movies. I don't know. Listen to it. It's a long one, but a good one. Follow Jamie and Laura on Twitter and Instagram @ginblopro and on You Tube! They're funny! Do it! Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Cover art by Julius Tanag. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. EPISODE #114-- Cruz and James decide to watch a recent release that's been seeing a lot of positive buzz, and the results are. . . Less than spectacular. After they talk about Yeon San-Ho's Train to Busan, they go on about Hello, My Name is Doris, as well as Feud, Kong: Skull Island, Sanjuro, and Taxi Driver (with a little bit of Cowboy Bebop thrown in). Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. EPISODE #111-- Today we mourn the death of Bill Paxton, while at the same time, we celebrate his life. Instead of doing one of his more obvious movies (that we've also probably done before), we decided to watch one of the movies that Paxton actually directed. It also stars Powers Booth and Matthew MacConaughey, so you know we all about that movie. We also talk about John Wick Chapter 2 and From Here to Eternity. And probably some other things. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. EPISODE #110-- Cruz and James tackle the sequel to the incredible Three Musketeers with the slightly less good, but still awesome Four Musketeers. They then get into it about. . . Well, that's about it. It's a short episode. Expect more later this week with our episode on the Bill Paxton movie "Frailty." Now there's an episode. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. EPISODE #109-- Do you like fun? Do you like adventure? Do you like Faye Dunaway? Then, boy howdy, have we got a movie for you. Richard Lester's Three Musketeers is why movies exist. It's why rapiers exist. It is so good, my dudes. We then talk about The Spy Who Loved Me, When Marnie Was There, as well as the unmade works of Norman Jewison and the actual made works of Hayao Miyazaki. Theme song is "Eine Kleine Sheissemusik" by Drew Alexander. EPISODE #108-- We didn't come here to muck about. We came here for one reason and one reason only: Because Moonstruck is the best movie ever. YOU HEAR THAT. PROVE ME WRONG, AMERICA! EPISODE #105-- Cruz and James get back into real quality films with the Vincent Price lead murder mystery "Theater of Blood," which is also titled "Much Ado About Murder." EPISODE #103-- Cruz and Jame (finally) get around to watching Gareth Edwards' debut film. It's. . . Okay? Alright? Fine? It's fine. It's whatever. More importantly Cruz and James talk about The Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016), TV's Supergirl, and 12 O'Clock High (1949). Jan 9, 2017

EPISODE #101-- Instead of watching the Golden Globes or involving ourselves with awards' season at all, we decided to watch Die Hard, a film so burnt into the American sub-conscious, that one would almost hesitate at the redundancy of involving ourselves with such a movie. Well, not us. Today Cruz and James launch into the classic John McTiernan action class staring Bruce Willis. It's also maybe our most unlistenable episode. Which is why I'm burying it behind a good episode! Hey! Look at that! Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. Dec 27, 2016

EPISODE 100-- We made it, you guys! We have (technically) finally arrived at our centenntial. To celebrate, Cruz and James are joined by World's a Mess' own Alex Smith. We watched Wes Anderson's Rushmore. It's one of our personal favorites and we figured it was time we take a good, hard look at it. I don't know. Also, it's got Christmas stuff in it. Which is nice. Also, try to pin-point when James runs out of beer. Bet you can't! Then we talk about a bunch of other movies. Probably. Follow us on Twitter @goldenagecruz and @kislingtwits. You can follow James on Instagram @kislingwhatsit. You can read James' ramblings at Gildedterror.blogspot.com. Donate to the cause at Patreon.com/Quality. Review us on iTunes. Tell a friend.
